RMG Cab modernisation (Trafford Park)

Another great job. We were contacted by our customer to safely remove and modernize the two cabs on their Trafford Park rail mounted gantry cranes. We worked closely with Maritime to create a safe and quick solution to carry out the task all whilst keeping downtime as low as possible.

By doing this work (and upcoming PLC/quality of life upgrades) we have essentially helped to future proof these two cranes, allowing huge cost savings versus buying brand new RMG’s whilst still providing the reliability and productiveness of a new machine for years to come.

During the course of this job we:

• Removed the old operators cabin and altered cab supporting structure and walkway assemblies for new spec

• Prepped new cab with new control gear and wiring to coincide with existing crane controls

• Installed new cab, connected all wiring circuits, tested and commissioned.

• Full job from removal to handover completed in 2 weeks.
