We are currently recruiting for a North West/Midlands based engineer.

Due to continued success, we are looking for an ambitious electrically biased Crane engineer who can showcase their skills around the northwest and midlands areas.  Although we operate in many areas this job is for a midlands-based engineer.

If you are a confident, sharp and bright individual, keen to work hard and develop your skill set, work alongside a successful team as well as alone then we would like to hear from you. Previous Crane repair and maintenance experience and work around heavy plant such as straddle carriers, reach stackers or empty container handlers is preferential but not essential. Basic electrical qualifications are essential and the to be successful you must be willing to learn both aspects of this industry with preferably City and Guilds or NVQ qualifications in the electrical industry.

A full UK driving license is essential

Successful applicants will enjoy a competitive basic income dependent on experience.

The job role will be based within the UK, predominantly around the Northwest and Midlands regions, with the occasional venture to the South and North East of England.

It will entail supporting other TCM engineers as part of a team effort to help keep TCM customers machines and equipment to a good standard of maintenance and repair.  

There will be daily tasks and activities such as servicing, inspecting, LOLER Thorough Examinations, breakdown diagnosis and repairs, including defect repairs following service work.

You would be planned in with other TCM engineers where you will be able to learn some of their skill set, and all engineers are happy to share and teach their skills and knowledge.

Working Hours

The Working week consists of 5 x 9-hour days with an unpaid lunch break.

An average working week will be on site from 7:00 until 16:30.

Any requirement to work away for extended time will include a paid hotel and food and drink expenses.

As a close knit team, we would aim to be as flexible as possible in order to, help each other out as and when required to do so.  As we are all aware in this industry the aid of a second, third and fourth man is called for from time to time, so flexibility is key.

Overtime Rates

Midweek overtime to be paid at Time and a third. Review after 12 months

Saturday overtime to be paid at time and one half

Sunday overtime to be paid at double time

Pay Structure

Basic annual rate to be discussed. Weekly pay structure with a weekly pay slip.

Ranging from (£47,000 to £50,000 Annual Basic)

Annual Leave

21 Holidays plus 8 Bank Holidays per Annum

Pension

A Pension scheme is offered with a 5% Employers Contribution with an annual review using one of the high street pension Schemes via the NEST Scheme

What we provide

A van will be provided with Dead locks for extra security. (Usually a High Spec Ford Transit Custom)

Tools Provided by TCM are, Milwaukee Impact Gun, Grinder, & Drill. Fluke Multimeter

All PPE, boots, overalls, hard hat, wet weathers, Hi vis all provided by TCM
